Description

This delicious cinnamon sugar bread is perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-oz) loaf frozen bread dough (thawed)
  • 3 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk together melted butter and corn syrup in a large bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Cut five slits in the thawed bread, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  4. Gently roll the loaf through the butter–corn syrup mixture until it’s fully coated, then toss it in the cinnamon mixture, making sure to get it into the creases. You want every little nook to get a sweet coating.
  5. Place the bread dough in a loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Bake the bread for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing and cooling on a wire rack.
  7. As the bread cools, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, melted butter, and milk until smooth and pourable. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread or set it out for dipping.
