Delicious homemade blueberry biscuits topped with a sweet glaze.
Ingredients

- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp milk
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 450°F. Cut the butter into pieces and place them in a 9 or 8-inch square microwave-safe baking dish. Put the dish in the microwave and melt the butter.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl – all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour in buttermilk into the bowl and stir until a loose dough forms. Gently fold in blueberries.
- Press the biscuit dough in the pan over the melted butter with a spatula or your hands.
- Using a knife, cut the biscuits into 9 squares.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk. Pour the glaze over the biscuits and enjoy!
Notes
- This recipe can be easily doubled for a larger gathering.
- Try adding lemon zest to the dough for extra flavor.
